Coronavirus Closes Schools for Gen Z Indefinitely

School is Closed Indefinitely?!

I wrote this on Tuesday March 31st 2020 and if things weren’t real before today, things just got real!

“Pa Gov. Wolf expands ‘Stay at Home’ order and extends school closures indefinitely

This means No school for me until at least September!

It means my 10th grade self isn’t going back to school to finish 10th grade.

I will be in 11th grade when we hopefully get to go back to school.

As much as I’m not a huge fan of school, I love going for the social aspect, to see my friends & girlfriend.

This new “indefinitely” order is beyond scary & is basically telling us we aren’t going to see anyone for a very long time.

I currently have 6 1/2 hours of Zoom School per week.

My school has done away with school on Mondays as they say that’s the day they are creating curriculums. When did they used to create the curriculums?

Now we have a 4 day school week.

I’m not complaining, but this is insane.

My classmates & I are pretty much on our own.

Our assignments are listed on our school eboard & some teachers create videos on Flipgrid etc

School as we know it (especially for LD kids like me) couldn’t be more different.

We are on our own.

My mother said, “you went from 10th grade, straight to online college”, as attending college isn’t even like this.

I’m thinking Generation Zers are going to think about online college more than ever before.

Stay in & stay safe,

Sky Rota
