The Nintendo Switch can be used in three modes:

  1. TV Mode: You play games on TV.
  2. Table Top Mode: Set the Console straight up using a stand in the back,  detach the Joy-Con Controllers allowing to you share the screen with others away from the TV.
  3.  Handheld Mode: Attach the Joy-Con Controllers to the Console and take with you anywhere you want even in a car. You can also share a Joy-Con Controller with a friend and play together anywhere.

Battery life varies by game but usually is from 2.5 hrs to more than 6 hrs.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild can be played for around 3 hrs.

You can charge while playing using USB Type-C included charger.

The Console screen uses touch panel.
