Reverse Technology: Not Reverse Psychology
School is out….
I am currently vacationing in Italy.
I spent one week in Florence & I’m currently in Rome.
While having dinner at my favorite restaurant in Florence http://touchflorence.com
I discovered something was missing from my last visit.
An iPad.
The Italian owners are 3 entrepreneurial friends in their early 30’s.
They are hard working entrepreneurs.
They originally opened their restaurant when iPads were cutting edge & cool!
Hence the name “touch” restaurant.
They were looking to be futuristic.
When you were seated at your table you were handed an iPad as your interactive menu. This was fantastic technology at that time. No one was doing anything like this. Their iPad menu site was brilliant, colorful & drew you into the food experience.
When I arrived for dinner last week they handed me a paper menu. I immediately asked “where are the iPads?”
They said, “people have all these devices at home today. And are looking to get away from them while out to dinner”.
I thought it was fantastic that they pay attention to what their customers like.
They care & noticed & didn’t wait to change and introduce a paper menu.
That is how businesses should be, always open to change & not taking forever to make it happen.
I had the most fantastic dinner in Tuscany & can’t wait to go back!
It’s great to see a business staying on top of things & being open to change.
So true, it’s nice they are changing with the times. Change isn’t easy for most people
Especially older ones.
